My fridge stopped working on Saturday night at around 11:30pm. I did a search on Brownstoner.com to find a recommended repairman. Peter's name came up with a great review and I called the listed number, expecting an answering service. Nope! Peter answered and tried to give me advice to fix on my own. He even called me back a few minutes later with another idea, which unfortunately didn't work.
Peter came by the very next day (Sunday) and spent 1.5 hours trying to fix the fridge. Sadly, the effort wasn't successful and a replacement part was required. Peter said he'd get the part and be back the next day - at a time convenient for me (which was post-work).
Peter came back, as promised, and quickly fixed the fridge, which included replacing a major part. He was courteous, efficient, friendly, fairly-priced and very professional. I would recommend him (and use him again, but hopefully won't have to!) in a heart beat.

I called Father & Son at 7:30 at night, thinking they would be able to come the next day. Instead, they offered to come right then and were at my house, working on my fridge by 8:30. By just past 10, the whole thing was fixed. Great service, would absolutely call again.

He schedules appointments quickly and, when possible, makes repairs immediately unlike other services which assess the problem and return for the repair. His price is fair and reasonable. Do yourself a favor and call Father & Son Appliance Repair first.

Peter's your man if your appliance is giving you grief. Our frigde quit on the day before a big party. Peter caught the urgency of my call - I was losing my mind! - he even apologized for not coming sooner. He figured out the problem - which was relatively minor but was difficult to diagnosi and fix. After a couple of hours we were up and running, and his price was more than fair! But the best part is Peter. Besides being technically smart, he's honest and engaging - the best that Brooklyn has to offer. Your faith - in people in general and skilled workers in particular - will be boosted after a visit from Peter.
I can't speak highly enough about Peter -- my fridge door wouldn't shut (it was bent from either too much in the door or too many kids hanging from it) and I called him at 7:30 p.m. and he came at around 9:00 -- directly after another job. He fixed it in about 30 minutes. He was friendly and efficient and did a great job.
I was impressed with Peter's flexibility in scheduling around my work hours, his 100% commitment to doing the job right the first time and for his great prices. I also liked the idea that he asked me over the phone questions to diagnose the refrigerator problem in advance so that he would have the necessary parts on hand to do the job on the first visit. I would definitely call him again for any kind of appliance repair!!

This was my second repair on a "Fridgidaire" brand purchased 4 years ago. (What a disappointment in the brand I selected.) A personable fellow, who holds high standards to the work he provides and the fee was very reasonable. I can't thank you enough

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI had to come on and do the right thing, which is to commend Peter for his outstanding service and dedication. He first came sunday evening to repair my fridge / freezer which wasn't cooling properly anymore. Long story short, I had a huge block of ice behind the freezer wall in addition to a bad defrost timer.
While defrosting the ice around the coils, in a freak occurrence, a piece of stripped rubber tubing hit the aluminum coil, sparked and blew a hole in it. Gas comes out, the whole nine yards. Even though it wasn't his fault, he took ownership of the problem and promised he'd fix it. He couldn't do it sunday, but made sure he came today and spent about 3 or 4 hours to fix the hole and the defrost timer.
On top of being a pretty funny character ( hilarious stories galore ), he's about as nice a person as you will find in the world of repairs. I highly recommend his services, and to assure you all i'm not a bot, I welcome anyone to email me to verify this testimony. Thanks a bunch Pete, you saved me at least a few hundred bucks!!!

Pete hooked up his compressor diagn. tester seen that the compressor was running perfect and everything else was working fine. In last then 10mins my refrigerator was back up and running. My relay box to the compressor burned out. Pete does charge a GREAT PRICE...
He does his work 1 way Affordable & GOOD, so that doesnt mean always FAST. GREAT WORK PETE, I RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE.. He BEATS Sears repair pricing and only charges $40 to come out and diag problem. Pete, as I said see you next time and thanks for the GREAT WORK.

He (correctly) diagnosed the problem over the phone and arrived the next day with the proper parts to repair the dryer. It is now as good as new. He arrived when he said he would, knows what he is doing, charged a fair price, and is a very nice guy, to boot! Highly recommended.

He was skilled, diagnosed and fixed the problem - charged a more than fair price! We were impressed with every aspect of the service and highly recommend him.

He could have charged me for a new fan motar, but he found a paper stuck in the fan and he only charged $40.00.. And i called a few well known repair places, and they wanted $90.00 just for a service charge! More if they had to do work on it. But at Father and Son they told me that they do not rob their customers, and that they has been going to the same people for 25 years now. And that he wants to keep them, not rob them. And it has been working great since. I will tell all my friends about them, they are the best repair men I have ever seen very honest.
